logic pro audio cut out

Since the recent Logic upgrade (7.2) the audio now cuts out occasionally with a loud DC thump. This happens often when enabling record ! Even while play is already happening, simply hitting record causes all audio to cut out with a rude thump. It can also happen just when playing. Usually a few stops and starts serves to get the sound back, but now I'm finding NOTHING short of rebooting the audio or rebooting the application (same thing) will get the audio back. Its happening very often for me, every 15 minutes or so.

I am using a Digidesign M Box 2 Pro. But when the audio cuts out iTunes can still play fine. So this is just inside of Logic.

Also: I tried switching the buffer size to 512 (from 1024). This caused Native Instrument's Massive to change its buffer size, losing all the internal envelopes and sequencers. Switching it back to 1024 still left it in this odd state. I quit the app and restarted and it was fine. (didn't save, just to be sure).

    • installing MySQLdb on Ubuntu (mysql-python)

      MySQLdb is the python support bindings for MySQL.  Not that the name would lead you to beleive that.
