Shawn Fanning's Snocap lays off 60 percent of workforce | Tech news blog - CNET News.com

Snocap, the music-licensing company best known for being the follow-up act of Napster founder Shawn Fanning, has cut its staff by 60 percent, a spokeswoman for the company said Thursday evening. That's funny, I only yesterday got my tracks up on SNOCAP. I think they would do much better if MySpace wasn't such an interface-peice-of-shit. They are what is stopping them from easily getting the tracks up. Eventually I just pasted the SNOCAP store directly into my profile.
((http://myspace.com/timeblind)) Anyway, who buys these tracks ? I buy DJ-able mp3s, and I want to go through a large catalog. I would give everything away for free, but then people don't value the tracks as much. They would rather that it had a price, then steal it. Then they feel like they got something. If you just give it away, then it seems like just more mp3, more clutter for the hard drive. http://www.news.com/8301-10784_3-9796327-7.html?tag=nefd.blgs
