Boomkat increased the beep
19 December 2008
There was a really good track — [Martyn's Natural Selection](http://www.boomkat.com/item.cfm?id=111917) — that was out on vinyl only, no MP3 release at the time. I really wanted to play it so I just ripped 20 seconds from boomkat's online preview and looped it. There was an occasional quiet beep over the top of it but it sounded kind of cool.
so now it seems that [boomkat](http://boomkat.com) has increased the volume of the beep.
I did some track around the period of Bloatware using Cycling 74's Pluggo. they had these beeps every 30 seconds. I used so many plugins that the beeps all came at different times and through different layers of processing. It sounded wonderful. Josh was going to put it out. The irony being that Josh ran the record label Orthlorng Musork and also worked for the company (Cycling 74) whose software I stubbornly refused to pay for.
