Probe
Beginning in 1991 as a promotional oulet for Plus 8 Records, Probe quickly developed into it's own label. Specializing in more raw, hard dance tracks, Probe, along side of Plus 8, developed the blueprints of this sound, which continues to be pushed and re-invented even further. Inside the Probe regiment you can find some of today's finest artists of the techno realm, along with most of their debut releases and more successfull singles. Dan Bell's DBX project was first revealed via Probe. Public Energy aka Jochem Paap earned high honor early on for his 'Three O' Three'. And of course, Circuit Breaker, Richie Hawtin's hard sound of the future. Probe has also been the muse for tracks that 'darken' yet transport the dancefloor. Like the essential & classic 'The Wipe' by Teste, or Turph by Toronto's mysteriouso, Himadri. Throughout the labels' history, it has held high regard and respect from the most critical to the more open eared listeners of techno on a harder plateau.
