Of course before I started making techno, it was all post-techno, or would have been had I put out any techno before that.

Got burned out on the brutal thud of the kick in 1994 and decided to escape to an experimental breaks driven ambient sound.

  • Released several tracks as mothering noise, again on Instinct compilations (Plug In Turn On). These remain for me strong and beautiful.

96-98 I did lots of not-techno, but the labels I knew only put out the techno, and I didn't get my stuff
together to try and establish other connections. And people kept asking for records, and I kept scurrying around
trying to make them.

  • The standout track on I Was No Mind [Tim Taylor's Missile records] is a coil-like 96bpm pit of snakes.

Moved to New York in Jan 1998.

Searching for new ways to work with sound. Discovered computer programming. Musical composition eco-systems, self-evolving sound forms. 64 bit floating point pure sound.

For various reasons it took until Jan 2000 for the first record to come out:

* Bloatware Orthlorng Musork that for me finally focuses what I want, and what I should be doing.
