west coast touring

August 30, 2007, 2:22 pm

As I completely failed to mention on this blog, I'm on tour out west.

Stateless in San Francisco was good fun.
Sacramento was fun, but nobody was there.

I'm in LA right now, in Echo Park (home of many old cowboy and silent films, frank zappa, the eagles, gilligan's island and [a]ppendics shuffle.

Its both dirtier and nicer than I expected. Nice California homes, beautiful hills and graffitti tagged palm trees. Hoping to get out to different neighborhoods today.

Everything in LA seems to be hidden. There are no centers, just corners here and there and locations that people will drive to. Venues and restaraunts could be anywhere, there's no need for the clustering that New York does.

Its a lot more fun when you are in your car.

It would be way more fun if they imported about 10,000 monkeys and let them loose in the city.

Sounds like there is a problem for the venue for JAM this friday. Other parties and other venues for me to hit are being explored. Stay tuned.

Why have Alberto Gonzales and Karl Rove been thrown under the bus almost simultaneously?

cause bush is the fall boy. their work is done, he is left with the poop. he still hasn't figured it out.

When I listen to music at home it all gets echoed onto here and on my Last.fm page. Most of the time I don't use that cause I don't want you to see me obsessively listening to my own mixes, really bad working titles.

You can read some posts I thought were interesting from various feeds.

I've been doing the Dance Music Business Resource since 1995, back when it was on hyperreal.org. Articles and info for artists and small labels. Recently I've been posting interesting industry news items and adding some new content about downloads etc.
