The Polar Bear Club was founded by Mike Wolf and Timeblind and happened every friday from 2000-2004. For three years we served up brilliant nights of sound with some brilliant guests, experimental video, and a damned fine bartender. Guest DJs and live acts ranged from Matmos or Anti-Pop Consortium to Norwegian midi-death metal. Some nights were packed and ecstatic and made me feel truly good about the power of music. Some nights were slow and we grumbled about the world not being right. But the music was still good.
The Bunker was founded by Timeblind as the successor to the Polar Bear Club. DJ Spinoza took over from Mike Wolf.
Its a big genre-clash of sound, deep stuff, some wild dance parties, some chin stroking, some drinking. dub, banging techno, uk garage, hip hop, dancehall, glitched up, mashedup, throbbing things, ecstatic jazz, live instruments, solo electronic heavy metal, shameless house party. that's what we've been up to.

Timeblind has now moved to Berlin and Klever Vice and Movement joined the crew. Its become quite the hotspot for NYC Techno with Dan Bell and Sammy Dee (Perlon) making regular appearances and great guests like Plasticman (the grime one) and Suburban Knight (Underground Resistance). And occasionally Norwegian midi-death metal.
